Supplier Integration Module (SIM)

Please remind all vendors that they need to select "Serialized" for all items that require proof of purchase and a serial number to activate or the warranty. Example. I recently ordered 6 bikes from Velotric, inlcuding some models that I hadn't carried before. The SIM worked as advertised when I built the PO. However, when I went to receive the bikes into inventory, I noticed that the new models were not a Serialized Item, but a Standard Item. Just a friendly reminder to the bike brands that if they want their bikes tracked by serial number (for the warranties), it would be very helpful if the Items were built as a Serialized Item.

Allow users to select BY BRAND - which products are auto-simmed and activated. Most supplier content is weak. Activating products automatically in those cases can detract from a shop's brand identity. However, certain suppliers deliver content we would be happy to auto list.... If only we could select them to be auto activated alone.

In order to retain full control of products listed online, and to be able to verify the content on Auto SIM is correct (and often it is not) can there be the option in MT under SIM Management to have "Automatically make products visible online" with a tick box that can be unticked? This gives back control to the buyer or decision maker, allows them to add unique and compelling content, assess the data and category selection and edit as required, and push the product live when it is ready and consistent with other products showing on the website.

it seems that SIM gets cost pricing wrong 50% of the time, we were wrongly understanding that we could trust SIM data, but it seems half of our suppliers give "generic pricing" (i.e. standard trade prices) to SIM, rather than ones specific to each company. we all know that margins are based on doing deals with suppliers, and margins change depending on what stock-ins and commitment you make to a brand/season. this means we are constantly manually updating cost prices, and it makes no sense for this to be so complicated when all we should need to do is maintain a chart of "brand margins" - i.e. if you know you get 30% margin for a brand, then why isn't this wonderful system able to calculate the cost price if we each maintain a simple look-up table of supplier/brand/margin. that way we are back in control of understanding if the data feed is reliable.

I understand that you can only work with the data from the suppliers, but surely if a product is new in that season then it should reflect the upcoming season pricing, not the pricing from the previous season with regard to MSRP? I realise that cost pricing is a whole different can of worms, with many more variables.

An automated comparison of availabilities and prices would be a tremendous relief in purchasing. For the required parts, the currently lowest daily price from suppliers who have the respective part available should be displayed. I know this function from the automotive sector and would like to have it available here as well. Thanks in advance, Stefan

I understand that the SIM data has to come with a basic cost price. I've updated the price on each purchase order from a supplier three times now for my pre-season orders. Is it possible to alter the system, so that if we update the cost price on the first consignment received that becomes the cost price default? We can then adjust the pricing on subsequent orders, to ensure that we're keeping average cost pricing for reporting purposes.

To have the ability to only update the price and leave the description for example... if a description has been edited manually to a format used by the store this will stop it been over written to the suppliers description.
