Ability to require Order Status on WS orders and ability to remove 'None' as option

I have two requests related to Order Status when creating a workshop order.
1) 'None' is useless to use and creates an whole section of 'Unallocated' orders in the WS module. Can we have the option to remove this as an option all together?
2) With 'None' no longer the default, can we have this left blank by default and be a required field? This would prevent issues with WS orders getting no status when we are in a rush.

I was thinking about this yesterday as I was scheduling jobs. We use "none" as the status for the job is ready to be worked on since it is also the default and we too want there to be a status on all orders. But I noticed yesterday that you cannot filter by none as a status.
For example: If I have other job status's like "awaiting parts", "awaiting communications", "on hold", and those jobs cannot be worked on for the corresponding reason, I have no way of filtering for jobs that can be worked on...ie "none" status.
This makes "none" less than satisfactory as a status. But, as I said, we too would love the status field to be required but using a filterable field. We do over 1000 tune ups in a year, not counting non-tune up services, and most of these are done with in March-August, so we agree that when we are busy we need to have a more than satisfactory status area.
Thank you!
