POS Transaction Status Notes - editable
S
Stephen Mitchell
We would like to see 1 update we think would be massively helpful, at least to our business. At POS when selecting any of the transactions the 4 button Status notes are almost completely irrelevant ... "Fraud Check & None" being pointless & "On Hold & Awaiting Parts" ok...
I would propose either an editable 4 buttons, or could these be changed by CL Team for the individual customer using POS... For example we would get far greater use out of a "Collection", "Delivery" & "Web Order" button notes ... This way from the sales to the PDI/mechanical teams we'd have an obvious and easy note to the order.

"Click and Collect" option for Order Status
C
Chris Green
It could be useful to have "click and collect" as an option to select on the Order Status drop down menu, as when items are marked as "Ready to Despatch", staff members often periodically check on the order to see why it hasn't been sent yet if it's ready to go. It would save time to be able to see at a glance without going into the order itself, that the reason it hasn't been closed off is because its awaiting customer pick up.

Customisable Order Status Reasons on Customer Orders
Shirin Sadr
It would be better if Order Status reasons were customisable like other reason codes so that we can adapt these to work to our own internal processing and way of working. I am referring to the status on customer order drop downs. We use drop downs to signal orders at certain statuses however the configured term used is not accurate. We "just know" that we mean something else..

Hi everyone,
In the July release of Cloud POS we're adding the functionality to be able to create and edit Custom Order Statuses.
We'll keep the existing pre-defined list of statuses which will be available and set at the point of the move to stop any disruption from the change.
You'll be able to create new statuses, assign an icon and colour to each. You'll also be able to make statuses inactive, meaning they can't be set on future orders.
Thanks,
Suzy

Couldn't agree more with this. We actually have to use a 3rd party solution to monitor and inform status to the customer as the options in CL aren't customisable.

I don't disagree, we plan to add custom statuses for workshop jobs to expand beyond the basic fixed list, if that happens I suspect we'll add it to all order types.

Fully editable 'Change Order Status' Options
G

Hi, as the title. This could be used far more effectively if this was fully editable within configuration. I believe I had a case for this created when the feature was launched, but I cannot find this. Thanks

Here is a suggestion from another post to help start the debate.
Quote Status: this is the status of the job in the workflow, where
Triage = being put through Bike Safety Check to determine what work is needed.
Assess = Safety Check is done, but part identification is non-trivial, which requires more research.
Approval = Quote/Estimate is ready, but the customer must approve it before any repair work can proceed.
Proceed: customer has agreed to the work, so it can be converted from a Quote to a Workshop Job.
Rejected: customer has rejected the quote and bike must be returned to them with no further action or work on it.
Estimate: this is the figure the repair estimate figure the customer has been quoted
Repair Status: this is describes the type of repair/job in the Workshop Queue and where they are currently in terms of progress.
Unallocated = the job is being quoted or has been quoted, but not allocated to a mechanic.
Post Sale: Bike has been purchased, but needs a Post-Sale or PDI inspection by the mechanic (highest priority).
Warranty: this is a bike that has been returned with a warranty fault (highest priority)
Parts: Bike has been assigned to a mechanic, but some parts are out of stock or must be specially ordered. Job cannot continue until all parts are received.
Repair: bike has been assigned to a mechanic, all parts are in stock and mechanic is on the job now.
Ready: all repair work has been completed and bike is now with Customer Services waiting for the customer to collect and pay any outstanding balances.
Collected: Customer has been and collected his bike, so this job can be removed from the Live Job Status list at the end of the working day.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime - I understand the idea behind having an automation possibility, but I think that is putting cart before the horse. I would rather have my employees handling the contact with the customer who almost always has questions that automation will not be able to answer. Additionally, user editable statuses will help shops that do other lines in addition to bike.
Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime
Peter Oien you make good points, any automations we add will be configurable in terms of template and if they send.
The point about editable status fields is also a good one, I prefer fixed, the ahead of POS development disagrees, so the debate is active and your view helps it.
