Text, Workshop Job Complete plus Balance Due

When sending service completed text to customers, it would be nice if the text could automatically show the workshop job number and the balance due (less any deposits). We have a lot of people call back after getting the service ready text asking what their balance is and when in the workshop module it only shows the grand total of the service, not the balance due.

Can we put a total order price into a customer bike collection text template. For example, Dear Mr Sinns, Your bike is ready for collection. The order total is
insert formula for order total
....The reason behind this is that the customer knows exactly how much they need to pay on collection. If the customer has any questions on pricing they can call ahead, this is much better for everyone involved

Agree. Balance due with tax. It would also be nice to show balance with tax on the workshop screen as well.

Would it help to include a payment link for the balance?

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime Nice suggestion but that for us would cause more confusion than it’s worth as all work is pay on collection for us, and it would create additional work joining the dots as to who has paid and who hasn’t, and the staff member handing over the serving would not know what’s going on.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime the payment link would be great for certain cases, like a friend or family member picking up the bike for the given customer. Not a necessity, but a "nicety" when applicable. The main thing is just showing an accurate balance due within the text.

Drew Jordan We are going to address this in the big workshop overhaul we have coming up, the suggestion makes perfect sense.

Scott Fair point, I know some customers use PaymentLinks to avoid insecure CNP transactions and get cash in sooner.
We have a mid term plan to have paid payment links apply the payment to the customers account avoiding any manual step. That's been a popular request from our US customers, we're going to complete the backoffice 2.0 piece first.
I hope the ski season is going well for you.
