Hi everyone,
I'm pleased to confirm that this change was released today, Tuesday 18th August, along with many other Workshop improvements: https://citruslime.com/whats-new-in-workshop-aug-2026/.
The Description will now fill the available column space, according to your preferred item grid layout.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

It appears that we can no longer modify column widths with the latest release.
Any way to bring that back AND keep the ability to display full text?

Tim Staton: Hi Tim. You can still modify column widths in the grid - we didn't change that with the update. I've just double checked it in Workshop. To change the column width, hover over the left or right side of the column, where you see the header text, and a two-way arrow will appear for you to click and drag.

Emma - Citrus-Lime got it. Thanks. I was just hovering too high. You have to be below the column header text but above the first row.

Hi Tim,
We're going to fix this issue with the length of descriptions in the items grid.
We're planning to start work on this in the next few weeks, and pending successful testing, we're targeting an August release.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and help us improve Workshop 2.0.

Agreed!
We have the same issue with the comments field on individual line items and the new comments field. These are great! The comments field only shows one or two words, but at least its a que to the Technician to make it larger to see what it says. The new receipt notes on the other hand doesn't show anything because the field it collapsed and needs to be dragged larger to read anything at all (this could be just our shop, but it is frustrating and lots of notes go unseen).
Thank you!

Hi Tim
Thank you for this feedback.
I can see exactly what you're referring to here. I will discuss this suggestion with our Development Team, to first understand how the grid is functioning and then explore if it's possible to extend the text containers.
