Update prices from non SIM suppliers

I recently have been sent a spreadsheet form our supplier with updated pricing, first option is to hunt through over a thousand part numbers using Ctrl+F to find and update the parts we do,
I thought this is a horrible job, i was hoping that there is an easier way. i have exported a template file for the supplier then got the spread sheet from the supplier then i ran the formula =VLOOKUP(B73,PriceList!$A$47:$C$551,3,FALSE)
My point being it would be handy if this could be done within a backoffice wizard. if i can do this with no excel training and just a bit of "can do" attitude then it is possible that a simple upload of a supplier .CSV will update a non SIM supplier, its a simple mater of putting a part number and prices in the correct column which is im sure already the case with SIM suppliers.

Hi all,
I believe this workflow has now been improved with the ability to import to create a Wizard (i.e. you don't need to create the Wizard first).
I thought I'd add a quick comment to get some feedback from you to check you agree!
Thanks,
Suzy

After having to update a large number of prices today for a range of different suppliers, I agree this is something that is urgently needed. We often get data files sent from suppliers which include barcodes, RRPs and trade prices. It would save a lot of time if we could import a CSV list of barcodes and prices (whether they are in our system or not). BO could then remove any lines with codes that do not exist in our system to leave the ones that are to be changed with the new price that has been imported. At the moment, you have to import the codes, then use the 'Export/Import Excel Files to Update Records' function - you still then have to manually compare this to the supplier's file. Alternatively, we can use the VLOOKUP function, but when we have numerous files to update, this is still extremely time consuming so it would be great if there was an easier way.

I think the import features could do with some up udpating in general. I have created a separate post relating to one of the requests on this post. https://citruslime.canny.io/citrus-lime-backoffice/p/excluding-price-from-sim-price-updates

An extension to the idea of importing in ILC, Prices is with the Update Item Reorder Level wizard.
It would be so much easier to import into a blank wizard: ILC, Min, Max.
At present I've got to go through the same time-excessive process of create, export, cross-ref, import, update.
Also it would be great to be able to select multiple locations for this wizard. We often have the same reorder levels for our large, medium and small stores.

Yes, updating prices is a horrible job! We don't use SIM for MSRP(too many discounted prices floating about and the wizards can't maintain a current discount if MSRP is changed) and SIM cost prices just don't match our cost prices.
Every morning I export out a full Price List with costs/MPQ and import this into Microsoft Access. I then import in any supplier price lists and cross-ref on codes. I can then import in ILC lists for MSRP/Price/Cost wizards, export the wizard - import into Access and cross-ref against the supplier price list.
What a faff!
I would like to be able to:
1/ Supplier Cost Prices
Import into a blank wizard: ILC, Cost Price
Clearly see where the Cost Price has changed and by how much (helps identify MPQ issues).
Remove ILCs from the wizard where there is no change (or maybe only populate the wizard where cost has changed?).
Option to update Store Average costs to new Cost.
Option to update existing Purchase Orders to new Cost.
2/ MSRP and other prices.
Import into a blank wizard: ILC, MSRP
Clearly see where the Cost Price has changed and by how much.
Remove ILCs from the wizard where there is no change(or maybe only populate the wizard where cost has changed?).
Option to Maintain current discount %ages for Store Prices.
I might even have time for a proper lunch-break then...!

+1 for this! Not sure if this is exactly how you are doing it, this is the best method I've found to date using the current bulk editors.
- Create a spreadsheet of all SKU's in the supplier price file.
- Import this into the 'Modify Item Price & Sale Price Wizard
- Click generate file and keep the window open.
- Use a V-Lookup in an empty column in the Citrus generated file to match the price on the suppliers spreadsheet and copy this into the price column in the Citrus File.
- Save the file and upload in the original window using the 'Browse function' and this will import the prices into the bulk editor.
This could do with being simpler and a SKU/Price importer would be ideal.
