There has been interest from several retailers in being able to create bundles of products online with the ability to apply a discount if desired. This would work well either with a ‘Complete the look’ or ‘Complete the kit’ type of function on the product details page depending on the vertical of the retailer.
Another avenue to explore would be building on the Star Buys function and allowing multiple items to be included in a Star Buy.

I have merged a number of similar posts here.
We are about to enter an exciting phase of Development for our Ecommerce platform, which involves a review of our existing promotion functionality.
All of your feedback here still stands, but if you have any further points to make around bundle discounts, please do add them. Use cases are particularly helpful. This does not need to specifically relate to the Star Buys feature, as that is focused on linking two products. We are considering a new implementation specifically for bundles (i.e. more than two items offered together).

More Flexible Promotions
while the star buy system is a great facility it is a little restrictive in terms of promotions. It would be great to offer a range of promotions. for example "Buy 3 items for the price of 2" or "buy 2 get the 3rd free" that is just small example of what i mean. Thanks

It would be great to be able to set up bundle deals. We've done some work arounds with Star Buys but the ability to make bundles like 2 for £45 or bigger deals like a set price if you buy a full matching outfit. We do some of these in store but have not been able to act on them online as there isn't an easy work around. It would be nice generally to have more marketing tools.

this would be great, for example wheelsets etc. currently have a very annoying and lengthy workaround for this

This wording is altered in the upcoming checkout launch, to make it softer this also provides us with the ability to develop out order confirmation emails over time.

Whatever happens the promotions feed needs to work with adwords, it did when we trialled the Citruslime Success scheme, but doesn't now. The feedback I had is that something changed and they have to fix the feed to work for everyone which sounded a bit hollow.

We're really keen for something like this. I'm repeating much of what has already been said in the comments here but here goes:
The 'assembly feature' to be made as front end / customer facing would be a great addition. Currently even if a customer adds all the 'assembly items' into their basket, they still wont receive the assembly price as it is only for internal use. Giving the feature is there for internal use, would assume could be made customer facing fairly easily?
We have 4 popular products that are can be bundled and we would offer a discount for the bundle. Currently the star buy function doesn't allow multiple items.

We would really like the ability to sell a set of say 3 dry bags when selling a rucksack. MLs love to colour code their bags contents. Food in green, first aid in red, waterproofs in blue... etc.
Also...
We're currently limited to one star buy. Which is a shame as someone buying a set of boots might want two pairs of socks and some wax which they may not otherwise buy singularly at a higher price. We're taking the approach of keeping low ticket items full price and including them as star buys. So we're able to keep in-store and online prices the same. Whilst being competitive with larger ticket items.
In short multi star buys would be a huge step for us. And bundles being the next as this would encourage a larger up sell and stock control.

In store, we offer a 20% discount on all surfboard accessories (ie. fins, bag and leash) when bought with any new surfboard. It would be great to apply this to star buys too. At the moment, if you build a package deal within your basket consisting of surfboard, fins and leash, the Star Buy discount is only applied to one child item. Ideally it would be best to discount all child items within any given collection if there was an option for that.
