Make Assembly items sellable online

I can't sell an assembly item online so have to do a silly workaround and risk stock errors.

I'm not sure if this quite the same issue, but it would be great to see the online star buys replicated on cloud pos and the cashier gets shown the available offers to tell the customer about. i.e get discount on a repair kit when they scan a pump into till if that's set as star buy. This would make the online experince match the instore.

CYMO: This is on our roadmap for the future, we also plan to support ecommerce coupons instore.

Neil McQuillan do you have an update on this? Thanks

Neil McQuillan Suzy Weightman just raising this to the top, we have started using assembly codes. but need a few workarounds to make it all flow through the system and get the items to the customer. Is this still on your roadmap? Thanks
Neil McQuillan
Richard Twinn This is definitely on our list. Current we're focused on backoffice 2.0 (allowing multiple bin locations and a much faster user experience) and overhauling the checkout so we can add new finance providers.

We'd love to see bundles implemented!

We do not currently use this feature but have been discussing creating bundles recently so would be interested in using it if it behaved in the following way:
- Items can be added to an assembly item (standard and matrix items).
- These items are not impacted in any other way (i.e. they would still be usable as individual items across the platforms.
I guess (without experience of it) that assembly items can be used on both the website and POS to let the customer choose several items from a list that is presented when the assembly item is added to POS or on the product page of the website.
This would be very powerful so if it is possible and this was the development path for this feature it would be very appreciated by us (or perhaps if you don't want to change assembly items then a new "Bundle" feature :) ).

This is how the functionality has worked since day-one, but we're interested in seeing how well received this would be.
Upvote and comment if you'll find this useful.

Ben Kippax: It does mean that, for bike builds for example, where a cassette is part of that assembly - the cassette no longer displays on the website for sale. That's not ideal....!

Dave: I completely understand the frustrations you’ll have with this.
I’ve had a quick chat internally and we’re open to changing this but we’d like to see how well received it would be before making any decisions.
I appreciate this may not be an ideal scenario for you, but as it stands, we need to ensure we prioritise issues accordingly so we don’t promise too much and under deliver on quality - something which we are focusing on improving right now. I’m sure you’ll agree that, when we treat everything as a priority, the reality is, nothing is a priority.

Ben Kippax: please enable this at it's basic level.. so items can be seen if they are part of a 'bundle/assembly'
but ideally with a concept of 'stock' for the assembly. - ie if any part of the assembly is out of stock, the assembly is out of stock.
To reiterate allow included items can be sold. -Really needed!!! -
Our only option afaik:
Fake/dummy products as assemblies/bundles which are non inventory, but then they don't appear on picklists! - and have no stock control..

Will (MR): We are hoping for this option also. We sell belt orders to soldiers that work on an interchangeable platform. We sell them as separate pouches and belts etc or as a full set for specific operations/tasks.
The only workaround we have been able do so far is to set up a web page displaying the different set-ups and explaining what the customer needs to order to complete each set. . I hope this gets voted up!

If I understand this correctly this would be incredibly helpful, we sell items individually that would be great to be bundled together, whilst at the same time allowing the parts to be listed separately, with managed stock being key.
