Viewing Colour Groups in MT

I would like to be able to view what colour groups we have so I can sort through them. There are times when setting up new season items that there is already a colour group but unless I remember or have looked for another item it is hard to work this out. This also means I sometimes make duplicate colour groups which is counterproductive. I feel like I could get more out of colour groups if there was a way to see a list of them.
Additionally, I would like to be able to update colour groups as a whole. When you first make a colour group it copies the description and filters across to the new members which is great. If I make any further changes I would have to remove all the members and re-add them to cause this to change in the other items. I understand why it doesn't update them all automatically but an option/button to update all would be useful.

colour groups seem to be a hidden 'item' I would like to be able to serach for exisitng colour groups and then once select be able to edit the actual items that are in the colour group, so it behaved a bit more like a matrix item. Is there anyway of knowing how many or what colour groups are in the system?
