Hi, the new module is not user friendly,
1st as everyone states and still not got it, we need to be able book in a job from the workshop module, every other system we used can so why can't you? it holds up our phonelines whilst waiting for sales, as a small shop we can not cost allow another till pos just for bookings.
Once added a item into the customer basket in the job you have to reselect the sarch box to add onother item. was fine on workshop 1.0
From the calender view is it not clear if the bikes are in store or awaiting drop off unless click the customer and open the preview box.
The save and close tab bottom right of the page needs to moved over, on my small laptop screen all i seem todo is open the chat Ai box.
The internal notes box is far too big, compared to the reciept box. surly the reciept box is more used than internal notes on a day to day job ?

Hello all
We're marking this post as 'Complete' as all the requests have now either been actioned or are in active discussion on other posts, as follows:
1) Creating jobs from the Workshop Module - discussion here: https://citruslime.canny.io/workshop-module/p/workshop-module-2-booking-in-jobs-switching-from-pos-to-workshop-module
2) Adding items: the auto-return of the cursor has been addressed. For a discussion on adding multiple items to jobs at once, please refer here: https://citruslime.canny.io/workshop-module/p/add-multiple-items-at-once-in-workshop-module
3) Making the 'Checked In' icon clearer - this fix was released on 11th March 2026.
4) The icon for the Knowledgebase AI has been removed.
5) Size of the internal notes vs. the receipt comments: the receipt comment input can now be enlarged by dragging the corner of the box. Your preferred size will be remembered for the next job you open.

I wholeheartedly second the request to be able to book workshop jobs from the workshop module. If nothing is going to be paid for or tendered in that moment with a customer that job/transaction/order etc should never touch the POS side. I should be able to create a new customer, look up existing ones and build a workshop order with out the need of the POS until someone has to pay for something. The tie up and amount of time that this is adding will compound especially during busy days. This particular feature needs to be fast tracked. Every other system has this basic function.
The other function I would request is the ability to print to multiple printers and not just only one in addition to being able to send the full size tag to a full sized printer without having to hit control or command print to bring up a dialog.
I am new to this system and what I am finding is to execute certain vital functions I have an extra 6 to 10 extra steps to get one thing done and having to switch from one tab to another over and over again.

Hi Brian,
Further to this, my advice on the Checked In icon was not correct as this isn't displaying on smaller screen resolutions (see https://citruslime.canny.io/workshop-module/p/checked-in-jobs-not-updating-on-calendar)
We'll look to get this addressed ASAP.
Thanks,
Suzy

Hi Brian,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Workshop 2.0 — it's really valuable to hear from users like yourself following our initial beta testing phase.
I wanted to address each of your points:
Booking from the workshop module — I understand the impact it's having on your phone lines. We have this elsewhere as a feature request, see https://citruslime.canny.io/workshop-module/p/workshop-module-2-booking-in-jobs-switching-from-pos-to-workshop-module
Scan/search input — You're right, this should refocus automatically after an item is scanned or a search result is selected. I've just tested this myself and it does work as expected for me. Is this from the multi-item select, or when scanning/searching on the input that you're seeing this behaviour?
Calendar view — The "checked in" status is actually shown via a home icon on each card (see image below).
AI help chat icon overlap — I've removed the AI help chat icon for now so we can resolve the display issue with it overlapping buttons on smaller screens.
Internal notes vs. receipt comments — The internal notes section was implemented as the key area on the order edit panel based on earlier user feedback, but I completely agree the receipt comment field needs to be more accessible. We have plans to make it bigger and easier to reach on the right-hand side soon — watch this space.
Thanks again, Brian.

Suzy Weightman, as can see this is how much i have had to zoom out on my screen size just to show the bike in store, home icon, this is totaly not possible.
even to send this message i have had to re enlarge my screen.
yes the item add tab has now been fixed, thanks.
perfect removing the AI icon as again was requiring screen size down just to select save and close.
We feel this has not been in our best interests at this time.
