Unclear and unusable calendar

Compared to the previous Workshop module, 2.0 is a shocking downgrade.
Firstly, the calendar view is so unclear. The previous module had large block colours that let you see at a glance what your day looked like; this new outline system is infuriating.
Secondly, you cant view the calendar as organised by 'Mechanic' so you have to search around for tiny initials to work out who's job is whos
Thirdly, you can't see who's on holiday in the calendar, which is completely mad. A customer will call on the phone and I will go through the days to see where there's a slot and I have no idea who's working that day so I can't easily tell them if we have a slot or not.
Finally, there's still no way to set a mechanic as having regular days off. It's completely mad that this feature still doesn't exist, and we have to go in and add holiday days to signify when people take their regular day off.
I have attached a couple of screenshots to illustrate the lack of clarity this update provides in the calendar view. Please do not disconnect the original module until at least a few of the issues have been addressed. It is currently unsuitable for the way we work

I'll address each of your points in turn.
1) Calendar view doesn't have large block colours
In terms of status colouring, Workshop 1.0 displayed a coloured 'strip' down the left side of the job block to indicate its status, and accompanied this with the status symbol. The block background would only change for completed jobs (green) or overdue jobs (red). If we moved towards more colouring on the job blocks in 2.0, are you requesting a repeat of the coloured 'strips', or for the whole block background to change? My concern with the latter would be confusion with the green backgrounds for completed jobs and the blue used for holidays, for example (now that each user can customise the colour of their job statuses).

2) You can't view the calendar as organised by mechanic
You can now. This was released on 5th May 2026.
3) You can't see who's on holiday in the calendar
You can see this in Week or Month view, but it's not displaying in Day view. This isn't right - I will raise this with our Development Team as a bug to be addressed.
4) Setting mechanics with regular days off

Emma - Citrus-Lime I can't really comment on these aspects because we don't currently use them (everyone works a set schedule and I approve all time off) but I am considering starting to use them in the future but I need a lull in service work to try it out.
